Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto are competing against each other to become Kris Aquino’s executive assistant in the official trailer of their upcoming movie “I Love You, Hater.”

In need of money, Joko (Garcia) applies for the job so he could support his family. However, he has to pretend to be gay because Sasha Imperial (Aquino) only hires women and gay men.

Zoey, on the other hand, applies for the same post because she considers working for Sasha her dream job.

While competing for the job, things get complicated when Joko and Zoey develop a closer relationship.

"I Love You, Hater" is the third big-screen project of Barretto and Garcia, following the success of "Vince & Kath & James" and "Love You to the Stars and Back." This marks their first team-up with Aquino, who is also making her film comeback.

Directed by Giselle Andres and produced by Star Cinema, "I Love You, Hater" is scheduled to open in cinemas nationwide on July 11.
