MANILA - One of the most popular love teams of the '90s is set to reunite on the big screen soon.

In an interview with entertainment site Push, actress Jolina Magdangal revealed that she and Marvin Agustin are going to do a movie.

"Naghihintay na lang kami ng ng schedule, ng look test, pero na-i-present na sa amin ang story," she excitedly shared.

More than two months ago, Magdangal, while not sharing details, posted an Instagram photo of a meeting with Star Cinema. "It was a very successful meeting/pitching of a story for a movie," she wrote in the caption.

However, it was Agustin's comment that caught the attention of fans. The actor, who was not present at the meeting, expressed his excitement over the project, saying: "Yahoo! I loved the story and I missed working with my favorite labtim already!"

Since then, their fans have been anticipating for their reunion project.

Magdangal and Agustin's last film together as ABS-CBN stars was "Kung Ikaw Ay Isang Panaginip," in 2002. Magdangal transferred to GMA-7 that year. Agustin followed suit in 2006.

In 2014, the two reunited again as the lead stars of the ABS-CBN series โ€œFlordeliza.โ€

It has been more than two decades since Agustin and Magdangal were launched as a tandem through the youth-oriented show "Gimik" in 1996.
