MANILA – Jason Dy turned to social media to air his frustrations over those who criticize him for his weight despite all the hard work he’s putting into his craft.

In a series of tweets, Dy wrote: “You record a song, come up with vocal arrangements, mix and master it, shoot a video, take days to edit a video and all people can comment on is my weight. Even when I'm literally starving myself and working out everyday.”

As he gets older, Dy admitted that he finds it harder to lose weight.
“I'm trying guys. Sorry na,” he quipped.

But this isn’t the worst part. The singer said it is the fact that these comments are coming from people he actually knows.

“They're microagressions but they still cut,” he said.

Dy is one of the mainstays of “ASAP Natin ‘To.” He started his career in show business after winning the second regular season of “The Voice of the Philippines.”
