MANILA — Comedy superstar Vice Ganda is mourning the death of one of his close friends who is also a companion at home, his "It's Showtime" co-hosts confirmed on Tuesday.

Vice Ganda was due to appear at a 6 p.m. virtual conference for the Kapamilya Channel return of the noontime program, but was unable to do so following the passing of his companion.
