MANILA -- The massive success of their first two movies namely "Sana Maulit Muli" and "Bakit Labis Kitang Mahal" made Lea Salonga and Aga Muhlach one of the most memorable tandems in the '90s.

However, the Broadway star said she has no idea what their fans see in their partnership that they never stopped clamoring for a reunion project up to this day.

“I don’t know kasi sa dinamirami ng naging partner ni Aga, bakit 'yung sa amin pa 'yung pinatritripan ng tao? I don’t know,” Salonga told Toni Gonzaga in the most recent episode of “I Feel U.”

When asked who could possibly know the answer, Salonga said: “I think Inang Olivia Lamasan can answer that question who was with us every single day of that shoot.”

Salonga feels Lamasan, who was their director in “Sana Maulit Muli,” is better equipped to explain because she saw them work together up close.

Looking back at her experience filming that movie, Salonga said it was a good environment but it was also a tough shoot.

Confessing she always finds it difficult to cry while doing scenes, Salonga said of Lamasan: “Napiga niya ako. By the time we got towards the end of the shoot, it got easier.”

Salonga also talked about one memorable scene she and Muhlach did while in Baguio that put her under a lot of pressure.

“There was one scene that we did that we were able to cry one take. It was Aga’s big monologue. There’s a fire and parang we’re on this couch and he’s holding me. Minamadali na siyang pauwiin because we were up in Baguio and he had a commercial shoot the next day,” she said.

“Lahat kami na-pressure to get this shot done in one take because he had to leave. At this point, I stopped listening already to what Aga was saying my brain was more like, ‘We have to get this done. This guy’s gotta get down off the mountain tonight,’” she added.

In 2015, Star Cinema announced that they will be producing what would be Salonga and Muhlach’s third film but the project has been in limbo since.

To this day, it remains to be seen whether the two will work together again in the big screen.
