Ever since she joined "Singer 2018," KZ Tandingan has become a celebrity of sorts in China.

Exhibit A: videos of her being stopped while she was in a mall by Chinese fans asking for a selfie with her.

It's a testament to the popularity of the singing competition, said to be one of the most-watched shows in China.

In an interview on "Tonight with Boy Abunda" on Thursday, Tandingan revealed plans to take advantage of her newfound fans. She said that she is planning to release an album there.

Tandingan competed in "Singer 2018," which premiered back in February. She fell short of a place in the grand finals, but did manage to win over viewers after she beat Jessie J in one of the episodes, when she sang her cover of "Rolling in the Deep."
