A "Pinoy Big Brother" (PBB) housemate was removed from the show after making a controversial rape joke.

Banjo Dangalan was told to leave the PBB house in an episode aired Tuesday.

The incident happened, a clip during the episode showed, when Dangalan and his co-housemates were having breakfast.

He was heard joking about his fellow housemate Gino Roque IV: "Siguro masarap itong katabi sa pagtulog."

He then suggested to another housemate that they switch beds and added: "Pagsasamantalahan ko lang ito," pointing to Roque.

This prompted the female housemates to call him out for his highly inappropriate joke. Dangalan apologized but was later on called into the confession room by Big Brother.

Big Brother reminded Dangalan that he had already been warned about the complaints over his unusual habit of sniffing hair that made the female housemates feel uncomfortable.

"Ang pananamantala sa kapwa, sa kahit anong konteksto ay hindi dapat ginagawang biro," Big Brother told him.

"At kailanman ay hindi ko maaring palagpasin ang mga ganitong klaseng biro sa loob ng aking bahay."

Dangalan broke down in tears when he found that he was being forced to leave the house. He was seen repeatedly apologizing to Roque and the female housemates afterwards.

According to Big Brother, Dangalan broke his rules.

Rules given to all contestants state:

"Ang mga salitang nakakababa ng pagkatao, lahi at pambabastos ay hindi papayagan sa loob ng Big Brother House."

Dangalan was heard telling the housemates as he left: "Sana matuto kayo dito."

Dangalan was not among the nominated housemates for eviction this week.

Dangalan, a 27-year-old from Quezon City, was among the second batch of adult housemates of "Pinoy Big Brother: Otso."

He is currently working as a martial arts trainer.

He revealed that he has a history with addiction which he said he developed after running away from home following the split of his parents. He overcame this through martial arts training.

He said that he joined PBB to share his inspiring story and make people laugh with his jokes. He was dubbed as the "Funny Fighter ng Quezon City" when he entered the house.
