And now it appears Zsa Zsa Zaturnnah is sashaying her way back into the spotlight with an animated feature from the makers of "Saving Sally," a teaser for which was released this Saturday.
A glimpse of the movie based on the Filipino comic book icon was put up on the Facebook page of Rocketsheep Studio, showing the first time a "shy, small-town gay man" transforms into the flamboyant hero. Check it out below:
This is the first Zsa Zsa Zaturnnah project since the last staging of its musical version back in 2011.
A movie starring Zsa Zsa Padilla was made about the superhero in 2006, and became part of that year's Metro Manila Film Festival.
Zsa Zsa Zaturnnah is created by illustrator and graphic designer Carlo Vergara.
The character made her first appearance in the 2002 graphic novel "Ang Kagila-gilalas na Pakikipagsapalaran ni Zsazsa Zaturnnah" ("The Spectacular Adventures of Zsazsa Zaturnnah").
Rocketsheep Studios is best known for animating "Saving Sally," which was selected to be part of the 2016 Metro Manila Film Festival.
