MANILA – “I was worried.”

This was Mariel Rodriguez’s initial reaction after she learned about her second pregnancy.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Rodriguez said she immediately thought of how her daughter Isabella would react now that she would no longer be the center of attention in their family.

“This one is a super surprise, I wasn’t planning it at all, I was in tears. I was worried na how will Isabella react. Kasi she’s the sun and moon and the world in the house. She’s the princess,” she said.

Nonetheless, Rodriguez is certain Isabella will also be able to “adapt and eventually she’ll be okay.”

But does she want a boy or she prefers to have another girl?

“Girl or boy, I win either way. Boy, okay because I have one boy and one girl so perfect. Pero kasi I also have a sister. Dalawa lang kami ng sister ko. And iba 'yung bond ng sisters. So if she gets a sister, I still win,” she said.

“Like what I always say, si Isabella, she’s for me. Para sa akin siya para magkaroon ako ng anak. Kaya ko gusto magkaroon pa ng isa pang anak, para 'yun sa kanya para meron siyang kapatid. Whatever gender, we will be so blessed,” she added.

Fifteen weeks into her second pregnancy, Rodriguez said she will still appear on “It’s Showtime” for as long as she can.

“This pregnancy is more relaxed. Kay Isabella, from the dressing room to the studio, I’d bleed. So I’d be in the hospital already. Ang dami kong beses na ganun with Isabella. Ito, no bleeding. It’s a lot easier that way,” she said.

When asked on how many more babies she and her husband Robin Padilla plan to have, she said: “Dalawa lang. I just wanted Isabella to have a sibling and okay na ako doon.”
