MANILA -- Is the Maris Racal-Inigo Pascual love team over?

In an interview with Cinema One during the launch of her latest single written by Rico Blanco, Racal addressed observations of netizens that she and Pascual are spending less time together, based on their posts on social media.

"Sadly 'yun ang hinahanap nila na social media posting. Siguro hindi lang namin iniisip na kailangan talaga i-post ang isa't isa," Racal said.

She then opened up about the real score between her and Pascual when asked if they are going their separate ways.

"Kinlarify naman namin ni Inigo na never naging kami. Sinabi naman namin 'yon in public na hindi naman kami. So 'yun lang talaga," she said.

"Ayaw lang namin maging like visible together as a love team kasi may tinatahak na gusto, na iba iba kami ng gusto. Siya music, international; ako acting and then writing. So very iba. So ayaw lang namin na 'yung mga tao sa paligid namin hindi mapaghiwalay 'yung idea of us together kasi mahihirapan din kami. Like, how we will grow? So paano namin mao-open yung ibang tao na mayroon kaming ginagawang ganito," she explained.

Racal also made an appeal to fans to be more open when it comes to supporting their idols.

"Kung mawala sila because we are not together in the first place eh di 'yung relationship lang 'yung after nila sa amin, hindi 'yung pagiging as artist talaga. Sana mag-change na 'yung outlook na 'yon kasi paano mage-evolve 'yung culture, kasi 'yung gusto niyo lang ay 'yung love story," she said.

"Sana 'yung nagsu-support sa amin ay i-support niyo kung ano
'yung ilalabas namin," Racal added.

The MarNigo love team started inside "Pinoy Big Brother: All In" in 2014 when Piolo Pascual visited the PBB house and teased Racal to his son.
