Not this time around.

When they first joined "Tawag ng Tanghalan," both Arabelle Dela Cruz and Ato Arman fell short of a spot in the grand finals.

This Saturday, they made sure they avoided another heartbreak as they fended off the late challenge of Mark Michael Garcia.

This week has been dubbed the "utimate resbak" round, where past semifinalists competed for a slot in the finale.

It was to be decided this weekend, with Dela Cruz and Arman just needing to beat one more contestant to lock their place down.

Standing in the way of their dreams was Garcia, who crooned K-Ci & JoJo's "All My Life" for his bid to knock at least one of them out of the competition and force himself in.

It wasn't meant to be, however, as both Dela Cruz and Arman got a higher combined score from the judges and viewers.

The latter even received a perfect 100% after performing "Bulag, Pipi At Bingi." (He is the second performer in the video below)

This meant that both Dela Cruz, from Laguna, and Arman, from Bukidnon, will compete with other grand finalists in the finale week, which will begin Monday.
