MANILA -- After nearly 20 years since he joined the group Death Threat in the mid-'90s, rapper Gloc-9 admitted that he is ready to retire anytime.

Gloc-9, whose music is often socially conscious and relevant, has definitely made a mark on listeners and Filipinos. He has received over 40 awards from different award-giving bodies in the country, including Awit Awards, MYX Music Awards and PMPC Star Awards for Music.

"Ang lagi kong sinasabi noon ay pwede na akong mag-stop ngayon," he said in an interview on Wednesday at the launching of his latest album "Sukli," which marks his return to Star Music after a decade.

"God has given me a lot already, wala na akong maire-reklamo.

Gloc-9 will also be officially launching the album, along with special guests, on June 5 at Market! Market!, where fans can first get the physical copy of the album. “Sukli” will be available on online stores worldwide on June 5, and at all record bars nationwide on June 6, but will be streamed exclusively on Spotify beginning May 29.

But before he leaves the music industry, the 38-year-old Gloc-9 said he wants to make a song to seal his legacy and which people will always remember.

Asked of what will be his last song, Gloc-9 said: "My story."
