Celebrity couple Heart Evangelista and Chiz Escudero.
MANILA - Have Heart Evangelista's parents finally accepted and welcomed her husband, Sentor Francis "Chiz" Escudero, three months after they snubbed their daughter's wedding?
This was the question among followers of the 30-year-old actress, following her series of Instagram posts hinting at a reconciliation between the lawmaker and her parents Rey and Cecile Ongpauco.
On Sunday, she shared photos of her with her parents at a mall, captioned: "And then He blesses you even more. Happy Sunday!"
This was followed by posts showing her with Escudero's children and her father seated on a couch inside her home.
The latter picture had the caption: "Daddy and mom visiting me at home and the rest of the day is just...perfect."
"The happiest dinner of my life. God is amazing... My answered prayer," Evangelista said, this time in the caption of another photo showing four tea cups set on a table.
Two hours later, the former Kapamilya star shared a message -- "Faith can move mountains" -- and spoke of how hear "heart is whole again."
She said: "Love conquers all... A childlike faith and a hopeful heart is all you need... I believed. He heard my prayers and he saw my heart... This is the happiest day of my life. Delight in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. Finally... buo na ang puso ko. Thank you for moving that very mountain."
While Evangelista did not directly mention Escudero or her parents in the post, she responded to a follower alluding to a meeting between the once feuding parties.
"The Barrio Fiesta Magnates meets the Senator. Ayieeeeee. Lovelovelove!" said Instagram user @anum_love, referring to a restaurant chain of the Oncpaucos.
Evangelista answered: "A dream come true!"
Evangelista and Escudero got married in a February 15 ceremony which neither of her parents attended, two years after they publicly disapproved of the senator for their daughter over his supposedly for being disrespectful and an alcoholic.
Defying her parents, Evangelista stood by Escudero, prompting her to live independently from her family. While Evangelista and her father were on speaking terms by July 2013, the actress and her mother only mended ties in August 2014.
Even then, the Ongpaucos were adamant about not attending her wedding.
On Monday, Evangelista once again triggered speculation with an Instagram photo of her and Escudero's wedding day. "All I can say is... I can't wait," she said.
