The first trailer for the upcoming remake of the popular "Meteor Garden" series has hit the web this Thursday, promising more of the romance that defined the 2001 original, but with an updated look courtesy of its fresh-faced cast.
It stars Chinese actress Shen Yue as the spunky Shan Cai opposite a noticeably younger-looking F4 -- her school's richest and most popular boys.
They are led by Dylan Wang as Dao Ming Si and Darren Chen as Hua Ze Lei, with Connor Leong as Mei Zuo and Caesar Wu as Xi Men.
Once again, Shan Cai finds herself standing up to Dao Ming Si's bullying. At one point in the trailer, she plants a kick on his chin, dropping him to the floor. They eventually warm up to one another, but not before Hua Ze Lei develops feelings for her.

This Chinese version is also being produced by the show's original creator, Angie Chai. As with previous iterations, it will be based off the Japanese manga, "Hana Yori Dango."
There's no release date yet but Filipino fans can expect it to air locally as ABS-CBN has already acquired rights to the show.
