MANILA—Star Magic, the Kapamilya talent management arm behind many of today's local superstars, introduced on Wednesday 16 new faces poised for the big time in showbiz.

The unveiling of Star Magic Circle 2019 coincided with the month-long celebration of the ABS-CBN group's 27th anniversary, which has so far been marked with digital documentaries and retrospectives.

That the fresh talents were shown video messages from their seniors at Star Magic was fitting for the milestone, with the likes of Piolo Pascual and Angelica Panganiban giving advice to the up-and-comers.

The longevity of the two, who each count more than two decades in the business, is a testament not only to their talent, but also their training courtesy of Star Magic, a combination this new batch is hoping to channel.
