Sophie Turner surprised many of her followers when she revealed that she and her husband Joe Jonas had a brief split right before they tied the knot in Las Vegas early this month.

In her interview with UK’s The Times, Turner said she and Jonas actually called off their relationship for a day before getting married.

“It was the worst day of our lives,” she said. “For a second we both had cold feet, then 24 hours later we were both, like, ‘Never mind.’”

In the same interview, the “Game of Thrones” star also recalled how Jonas somehow “saved” her a couple of years back.

"I was going through this phase of being very mentally unwell," she said referring to the time when they first met when she was 20.

"He was like, 'I can't be with you until you love yourself, I can't see you love me more than you love yourself.' That was something, him doing that. I think he kind of saved my life, in a way," she said.

Turner and Jonas had a surprise wedding in Las Vegas on May 1 immediately after the Billboard Music Awards.

The couple announced their engagement on Instagram in October 2017.
