MANILA -- Taping will soon start for the much-awaited fantasy series "La Luna Sangre," according to one of its stars, Kathryn Bernardo.

On Monday, Bernardo and leading man Daniel Padilla did a pictorial for the the series, which is the third installment in the hit fantasy franchise that started with "Lobo" and "Imortal."

"Yung pictorial ngayon para sa poster," Bernardo said. "Tapos taping soon."

The two young stars have already started training in wushu and Pekiti-Tirsia Kali as part of their preparations for the action-filled series.

"Nagte-training kami ni Kathryn martial arts," Padilla said. "'Yun din siguro ang bagong ipapakita namin ni Kathryn sa teleseryeng ito, 'yung flavor ng martial arts, ng action."

Bernardo hinted that aside from the action, viewers will also like the romantic-comedy aspect of "La Luna Sangre."

"Lalagyan natin this time ng kaunting rom-com pa din siyempre. So 'yun 'yung interesting kung paano paghahaluin 'yung action and rom-com para balanse at saka masarap panoorin. Basta dito sa 'La Luna' ngayon lahat talaga ng emotions na gusto mo papasok from action, drama and rom-com," Bernardo said.

Meanwhile, Padilla said he is excited to be working again with Cathy Garcia-Molina, who directed them in the series "Got to Believe" and the movie "She's Dating the Gangster."

"Perfect si direk Cathy dito kasi may action siya, magaling siyang magpatawa, lalo na sa drama. So kayang-kaya niya itong serye na ito. I'm very excited dahil malaking tulong si direk Cathy para sa amin ni Kathryn, dahil magaling siyang mag-motivate, 'yung guidance niya at very comfortable na kami kay direk Cathy," Padilla shared.

Padilla and Bernardo are also thrilled to be working with the other cast members, although they refused to mention names.

"Nakita na namin 'yung ibang kasama and doon ako na-excite. Noong una parang galing kami sa 'Can't Help' parang huwag muna tayong magsimula, may feeling na ganoon. Pero 'yung sinasabi ko nga kay Kathryn, nung nakita ko, kasi may group kami, tapos nag-send ng picture doon 'yung buong cast, the charaters, talagang na excite ako kasi ang galing nang pagpili ng casting nito. Ang ganda. I'm sure ang mga tao mismo talagang mae-excite sila kasi ang galing eh. Bagay talaga sa kani-kanilang characters 'yung cast na kinuha," he added.

The two said "La Luna Sangre" will start airing "very, very soon" on ABS-CBN.
