Bea Alonzo on Thursday gamely talked about her recent trip to Mt. Pinatubo with Gerald Anderson.

Speaking with the entertainment site PEP, Alonzo said she was surprised when Anderson took her to see the Pinatubo crater.

Add to that the fact that they rode a chopper to see the scenic spot.

"Nagulat ako kasi nga parang hindi ko ine-expect iyon. First time nagawa sa akin, so masaya naman," she said.

"Noong araw na 'yun, ang dami kong gagawin, kasi 'yun lang ang day off ko. Magpri-premiere night, so kinailangan kong magpakulay ng buhok, magpa-derma, kinailangan kong mag-work. Konti lang talaga 'yung oras. Kaya pala pinili niyang magpa-chopper kasi nga I only had three hours," she added.

Alonzo said she was stunned by the beauty of Mt. Pinatubo that she wanted to have a fashion shoot there.

"Pangarap ko talagang pumunta dun. Tapos hindi ko akalain na magla-land kami sa crater. It was an amazing experience! Ang ganda-ganda kasi boiling hot 'yung water, parang may smoke machine! Ang ganda-ganda niya talaga. Sabi ko nga, pang-editorial, puwede akong mag-fashion shoot dito," she said.

"Hindi siya magaling mag-picture, so hindi magaganda 'yung shots ko," she added in jest, referring to Anderson. "Pero ang ganda, ganda, ganda nung lugar. Ang ganda ng experience ko tapos helicopter pa, nakakasosyal."

Alonzo said she would like to go back to Mt. Pinatubo to hike if given the chance.

In her recent interview on "Tonight with Boy Abunda," Alonzo admitted she and Anderson recently went through a rough patch, and that they are in the process of fixing their relationship.

"Marami pang inaayos," she said, noting that mending their relationship is a choice.

Short-lived sweethearts until they parted ways in 2010, Alonzo and Anderson re-connected romantically in 2016 when they were paired in the big-screen romcom "How to Be Yours."

They have been seen in public together numerous times until early this year, when Alonzo sparked rumors of a breakup after she un-followed both Anderson and his "My Perfect You" leading lady Pia Wurtzbach on Instagram.

Alonzo and Anderson, however, patched things up eventually, with the 29-year-old actor saying the temporary rift was caused by a misunderstanding.
