“I even think na nung I went to the hospital, I was like, ‘Wow, baka doon ko nakuha [yung virus].’ There were so many [people] lining up for [the test]. It took me the whole day. Hindi ito yung special treatment because of who I am. I had to wait. Tapos may mga test kits na hindi dumating so I had to wait for the next batch. It took me the whole day for that test,” he recalled.

“We were both surprised kasi nga I was telling people na sa lahat ng taong kilala ko, ang asawa ko ang pinakamalinis sa katawan. Every time he would go out, he would make sure pag-uwi niya, meron na siyang pambahay inside the car. He would change already,” Andolong said.

“Nung siya yung nag-positive, I felt worried for him kasi nga ang feeling ko, he’s the anchor of the family. You feel na huwag siya, ako na lang. Pero nung nag-negative ako, I was really happy when I called him and told him na my test came out negative. Umiyak siya,” she added.

“I was very prayerful. My prayers were more intense. ‘You gave me this. You have a purpose, go ahead.’ It’s more of, just please spare the others. I think this will be an important reminder that after this, it should be a different life. Kailangan magkaroon ng purpose itong nangyayari sa ating ito,” he said.
