MANILA -- Film and television director Lino Cayetano is the new mayor of Taguig City.

Cayetano (NP) was proclaimed on Tuesday by the city board of canvassers after he got 173,101 votes of the tallied counts against the 109,555 votes of his closest rival, Arnel Cerafica (PDP-Laban).

In 2010, Cayetano won as the barangay chairman of Fort Bonifacio, and in 2013, the brother of Alan Peter and Pia won as congressman for the second district of Taguig.
