MANILA - Benjie Paras gave a curt reply when asked to comment on the recent reconciliation of his sons Andre and Kobe and their mother, former actress Jackie Forster.

“Tapos na po ang issue,” entertainment site PEP quoted Paras as saying.

"So, iyon po, narinig niyo na po sa kanila. We're all happy,” he added.

Paras and Forster were married in 1994, but separated in 2001. Their marriage was annulled in 2003, with full custody of Andre and Kobe being granted to the actor.

Prior to the reconciliation, Forster had been estranged from her children with Paras since 2005.

Andre and Kobe, in their past interviews, had repeatedly rejected her apologies for an incident both of them have chosen not to divulge.

But that tune changed early this year, when Kobe reached out to Forster, eventually paving the way for her to see Andre as well during her recent visit to the Philippines.

Now that they have mended ties, Kobe has become very vocal of his affection for his mother, leaving comments like, "I love you, Ma," in Forster's Instagram posts.

He has also updated his Instagram bio to include "Forster" in his full name.
