Angelica's American dad speaks

MANILA, Philippines – The American biological father of actress Angelica Panganiban said he is proud of his Filipino daughter.

In his first media interview, Mark Charlson described Panganiban as a wonderful, talented, and generous person.

“She’s beautiful, of course, everybody knows that. She’s very talented, very generous. If she’s got something and she wants to share it, then she’s going to share it. She gave me a watch a camera, sunglasses and some clothes. Mahal kita anak,” Charlson told “The Buzz.”

Charlson said that Panganiban has already met her grandparents and her siblings in the United States where Star Magic recently held a tour.

He said: “She met her sister and her brother, all three of them, and her grandparents. I think they hit it off just fine. I’m the happiest dad in the world. The last time I was this happy was when my boys were born.”

When asked about their similarities, he said they “have the same front teeth, our feet are shaped just the same. We both got a sense of humor, we like to laugh.”

Charlson was also all praises for Panganiban’s adoptive mom, Annabelle. “I love her. She’s a wonderful lady. I like her a lot. She likes my cooking.
Oh yeah, I miss her a lot and I’d like to see her again soon.”

Charlson would also like to go back to the Philippines and spend time with his actress daughter here. He said he wants to personally meet Panganiban’s celebrity boyfriend, Derek Ramsay.

“If they want to get married, I’m all for it. They make each other really happy,” he said.
