MANILA — A pivotal scene in “Kadenang Ginto” on Monday proved satisfying for many viewers, as an outraged Romina, having discovered the truth about her tragic fate, landed punches on her nemesis Daniela’s face.

In the May 6 episode of the Dreamscape drama, Alvin (Eric Fructuoso) finally confessed to Romina (Beauty Gonzalez) that his attempt to rape her over a decade ago was upon the order of Daniela (Dimples Romana).

Further, Alvin claimed that while he had agreed to take part in Daniela’s scheme, he ultimately did not push through with it. Romina, he said, must have been raped by someone else, and he was therefor not Cassie’s (Francine Diaz) biological father.

The revelation was fuel to fire, resulting in a scuffle betweem Romina and Daniela. The victim let her fists fly, hitting Daniela twice and leaving her with a bleeding nose.

With Alvin’s confession, Daniela’s cruelty finally caught up with her; now, there was enough evidence to put her behind bars.

The climactic episode once again made “Kadenang Ginto” the top trending topic among Filipinos on Twitter, with fans cheering on Romina and drawing satisfaction from Daniela’s downward spiral.

Viewers also expressed excitement with the addition of “Pinoy Big Brother” graduate Seth Fedelin to the cast of “Kadenang Ginto,” which earlier teased a storyline focusing on the “squad” involving the characters of Diaz, Andrea Brillantes, and Kyle Echarri.
