MANILA — Actress Angel Locsin and film producer Neil Arce are inclined not to hold their wedding while the country remains in quarantine due to the coronavirus pandemic, according to the actress.

The topic came up during the live Facebook launch of "Regal Movies at Home," which offers free streaming of Regal Films productions on the social media platform, including Locsin's "I Will Always Love You" with Richard Gutierrez.

In the video chat leading up to its premiere, Locsin congratulated her onscreen partner on his recent wedding with actress Sarah Lahbati.

Gutierrez and Lahbati opted for a simple, private ceremony on March 14 amid the lockdown. On Friday, Gutierrez revealed that they still intend to hold the originally planned grand ceremony once the pandemic eases.

Gutierrez then asked Locsin when she and Arce now plan to hold theirs.

"Alam mo na hindi ko puwedeng sabihin dito ngayon. Naka-reserve ka na," Locsin said, laughing.

Turning serious, she added: "Ayaw naming isipin na postponed, di ba, kasi iyon 'yung pinakaimportanteng araw sa amin. Nagpahinga nga kami sa mga trabaho namin sana para matutukan namin 'yung wedding."

The couple got engaged in June 2019 and had since started planning their big day.

"Kaya lang, 'pag lockdown pa, hindi naman namin puwede i-risk, di ba? Hindi namin alam kung ano ang mangyayari," she said.

Locsin and Arce have nonetheless been busy during the quarantine — not with wedding plans, but their lauded fundraiser that continues to provide tents to hospitals overwhelmed with coronavirus cases.

The two have personally delivered tents as well as personal protective gear to frontliners in recent weeks, on top of directly managing the program's finances.
