The first trailer for the live-action "Sonic the Hedgehog" movie is here.

It follows the misadventures of Sonic (voiced by Ben Schwartz), as he inadvertently causes a power surge that knocks down power across a large part of the US, prompting the military to hunt him down.

They turn to the evil Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey) who throws just about everything (from futuristic, menacing chase vehicles, to flying bots that fires missiles) at the blue blur to try and catch him and use his immense powers for world domination.

It's directed by Jeff Fowler and set to open in November.
