MANILA — Well aware of his wife's current obsession with K-drama, Sen. Kiko Pangilinan appeared to know just what would get an enthusiastic response from Sharon Cuneta on their 24th anniversary.

To mark the occasion, Pangilinan went the creative route and edited photos from the South Korean drama "Crash Landing On You," with them as the lead characters.

Cuneta is "Sha-ri" (Yoon Se-ri in the series) while Pangilinan is "Captain Ki" (Captain Ri) in the humorous greeting, which also quotes a line from the male lead.

"I made a promise to her that as long as she's in my sight, I will protect her no matter what," the line from Captain Ri goes.

Reposting Pangilinan's greeting, Cuneta wrote: "Itong asawa ko alam niya si Hyun Bin ang labs ko ngayon kaya sa aming 24th wedding anniversary eto ang message niya sa akin!"

Cuneta was referring to the actor who portrayed Captain Ri in "Crash Landing on You."

"Happy Anniversary, Sutart. I love you! And salamat po sa lahat ng bumati sa amin sa araw na ito! God bless us all!" she said.

In a subsequent post, Cuneta shared another gift she received from Pangilinan: a serving of chicharong bulaklak, in place of the usual bouquet.

"Ang saya-saya ko! Pinakagusto kong bulaklak ito sa lahat ng bulaklak na binigay niya sa akin! Every year ito na lang sana!" an amused Cuneta wrote in jest.

Pangilinan, 56, and Cuneta, 54, have three children together. Cuneta has an older daughter, actress KC Concepcion, whom Pangilinan has also considered his own.
