How 'Pusong Ligaw' pilot fared in TV ratings

MANILA – “Pusong Ligaw,” the newest afternoon series of ABS-CBN, is off off to a good start.

According to data from Kantar Media, the pilot episode of "Pusong Ligaw" which aired on Monday, delivered a national TV rating of 18.2 percent beating its rival program “Legally Blind,” which scored 11.5 percent.

"Pusong Ligaw" was also a hit on social media, with the official episode hashtag#PusongLigawGrandPremiere making it to the trending list on Twitter.

In the pilot episode, viewers were introduced to best friends Tessa (Beauty Gonzalez) and Marga (Bianca King).

After her abusive mother died, Marga decided to go to Baguio to pursue her dream to become a model but ended up joining minor beauty pageants instead.

Meanwhile, Tessa got a chance to follow her best friend when she got a scholarship to study fashion design.

In Baguio, while searching for her friend Marga, Tessa meets Caloy (Joem Bascon), who happens to know Marga.

Aside from Gonzalez, King and Bascon, the show also stars Diego Loyzaga, Sofia Andres and Raymond Bagatsing.

"Pusong Ligaw" airs from Monday to Friday after "It's Showtime."
