MANILA - Maymay Entrata signed a recording contract on Tuesday with Star Music, fulfilling a dream she had since she began writing songs about her crushes in high school.

"Napaka-blessed ko po at binigyan nila ako ng opportunity para mai-share ko po iyong aking talento," she told reporters.

Contract terms were not fully disclosed, but Entrata said she will be releasing her debut album soon. The 19-year-old winner of "Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky 7" said her debut album will feature tracks with "bubblegum pop".

She said songs about falling in love and chasing dreams represent her cheerful attitude and positive outlook in life.

"Doon talaga ako humuhugot," she said.

Aside from original compositions, the album will also feature a reworked duet of her with Edward Barber, a teen housemates she is romantically linked with.

Asked about her musical idols, Entrata named the likes of Sarah Geronimo and KZ Tandingan.
