Will Angel Locsin star in a possible sequel to the hit zombie flick "Block Z"? (Spoilers for the 2019 film follow.)

Locsin, dubbed local showbiz's "Action-Drama Queen," was a surprise cast member in the Star Cinema film.

She appeared in its final minutes as a mysterious "raider general," as described by director Mikhail Red, who comes across a badly wounded Lucas (Joshua Garcia).

Locsin's cameo role, which spurred speculation of a sequel, was brought up anew Wednesday night during the online fundraiser #KuwentuhanLang.

The program, spearheaded by Cinema '76 in collaboration with Lockdown Cinema Club, aims to help film industry workers whose livelihood have been affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

Among the guests for the April 15 episode were Red and actress Dimples Romana, who portrayed the security guard Bebeth in "Block Z."

While Bebeth's fate was not directly shown in the film, Red confirmed that she indeed lived, after Romana expressed excitement about the possibility of reprising the role.

"Sinadya namin mabuhay si Bebeth, kasi alam namin magiging fan-favorite 'yung shotgun moment," Red said, referring to a scene where the character came to the rescue of PJ's (Julia Barretto) group.

"Sinadya namin, para one day kung kailangan namin ng arrival moment, si Dimples, ganun siya," the director said, gesturing Bebeth's shotgun stance.

Romana then mentioned Locsin being part of the film, when asked what she has been doing in the past month since the coronavirus quarantine started.

Romana and Locsin made headlines in recent weeks over the success of their joint project, #UniTentWeStandPH, which aims to help solve overcrowding in hospitals caring for COVID-19 patients.

Known to be close friends, Romana and Locsin trace their close relationship back to 2008, when they co-starred in the fantaserye "Lobo."

"Si Angel, kung napanood niyo, is also part of 'Block Z.' I'm hoping there will be a part two. It will be very fun to be able to work with her!" Romana said.

While Red and Romana mentioned Bebeth's return, neither confirmed that a sequel to "Block Z" is in the works, or whether Locsin is attached in any capacity.
