MANILA, Philippines - Actor Diether Ocampo has finally admitted that he has a son.

Ocampo introduced 7-year-old Dream to entertainment media during his son’s birthday celebration at Manila Ocean Park.

"Ito ang kaarawan ni Dream so to make it more memorable tinanong ko siya kung paano niya gustong i-celebrate ang birthday niya. Isa ito sa na-mention niya Ocean Park. Sabi ko, ‘Anong gusto mong gawin doon?’ Sabi niya, 'Let's invite kids.' So ang mga bata dito ay galing sa 29 na daycare centers sa buong Maynila," Ocampo said.

Dream, who got his good looks from his father, promised the actor that he will finish college before entering show business.

Meanwhile, Ocampo reacted to reports linking him to former on-screen leading lady Kris Aquino.

Rumor has it that there is a brewing romance between him and President Benigno Aquino III’s youngest sister. Last week, the two were also reportedly spotted leaving the 2011 Golden Screen Awards together.

But Ocampo maintained that there is nothing going on between them except friendship.

"Wala akong dapat i-explain and I'm very happy at this point na ‘yong pagkakaibigan namin ay maging mas malalim. Ibang level na. Mas mature na kami ngayon. Wala naman talaga akong dapat sabihin because as far as I'm concerned walang dapat intrigahin doon," the actor said.

The actor also revealed that Aquino already met his son.

In a previous interview, Aquino stressed that she's not dating anyone, adding that she is enjoying her life as a single woman.

Aquino is now working on the annulment of her 5-year marriage to star cager James Yap. She and the father of her youngest son, Baby James, are good friends though. -Showbiz News Ngayon
