MANILA — Actress-host Kris Aquino has withdrawn her qualified theft complaint against former business partner Nicko Falcis in Mandaluyong, a court document shows.

Dated March 25, the resolution from the city prosecutor of Mandaluyong granted Aquino’s motion to withdraw her complaint against Falcis. PEP.ph first reported the ruling based on its copy of the resolution.

Aquino accused Falcis of qualified theft, amounting to P1.2 million, supposedly through unauthorized purchased using a credit card meant for transactions related to the actress’ eponymous production company.

Aquino had filed a total of seven qualified theft complaints against Falcis — one each in Mandaluyong, Makati, Taguig, Quezon City, Manila, Pasig, and San Juan.

The complaints filed before the respective prosecutor’s office of Pasig, Makati, and Taguig have all been dismissed. With Aquino’s withdrawal of the case in Mandaluyong, only three complaints (San Juan, Manila, Quezon City) against Falcis remain without a publicized resolution.

The Taguig prosecutor, in lieu of going forward with the qualified theft complaint, recommended the filing of estafa and fraudulent use of access device against Falcis.

Falcis has since filed a grave threats complaint against Aquino, which is pending with the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office.
