MANILA – Robi Domingo ticked an item off his bucket list when he got to collaborate with one of his favorite singers in the country.

During last Sunday’s “ASAP Natin ‘To” episode, Domingo played the piano as Sarah Geronimo sang to Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud.”

"I saw the performance on 'ASAP Natin 'To' and I wasn't able to stop myself from smiling! It was really a dream come true for me and I really have to say that Sarah will be one of my favorite singers and personalities. I thought it would never happen but thanks to 'ASAP,' it did," he told Push in an interview.

According to Domingo, his boss asked him what Ed Sheeran song he could play because Geronimo wanted to hear it.

“I was like, 'Are you kidding me?' From 2 to 6 p.m., I just played 'Thinking Out Loud,' trying to give Sarah my best version of the song," he said.

Domingo, however, said he did not have a hard time because he’s a big Sheeran fan.

"Honestly, they give me a tab of music but I really feel comfortable with this one. Being a Sheerio, I have been playing this song since it was released and I'm really comfortable with this," he said.

Domingo shared he was seven when he started playing the piano but he stopped because he got so immersed with school.

“Honestly, I have a hard time reading the notes of a piano sheet so instead I listen to a song that I like over and over again until I get the scale and chords," he said.

After last Sunday’s “ASAP Natin ‘To” Domingo is hoping he could play for Geronimo and the rest of the “The Voice of the Philippines” coaches again in the future.
