MANILA - Two years since her last teleserye "Juan dela Cruz" became a ratings bonanza for ABS-CBN, actress Shaina Magdayao is back on primetime television with the upcoming show "Nathaniel."
"It's going to be very, very exciting. Dahil nakita kong pinaghandaan talaga even the effects, story-wise, so sana po ay ma-inspire namin kayo," Magdayao told reporters on Tuesday at the launch of her new business Engineering For Kids.
In the series, Magdayao will play the role of a young mother with actor Gerald Anderson as her leading man.
"Isa akong young mom doon, my son passed away, na aksidente siya, 'yung anak namin ni Gerald and then itong batang ito ay naging isang anghel, doon na magsisimula ang kwento," she explained.
"Nathaniel" is a story of angel sent to earth to spread kindness and love.
"No love life"
Now that she is busy again with showbiz commitments, Magdayao admitted that she's not looking for love.
"Paano? Kung darating ay darating. That's s what I do now. 'Yung parang energy ko, ;yung focus ko ibinibigay ko sa things that matters. I-divert natin ang oras sa makabuluhang bagay," she said.
In the interview, Magdayao also clarified reports that her sisters have advised her not to entertain suitors from showbiz.
"Alam mo, hindi. Ang mga ate ko ever since, lenient sila. Siguro when I was younger medyo strikto si ate kuno pero kapag sa decision-making hindi natin alam kung kanino tayo mai-in love. Alam 'yun ng mga ate ko kasi sila pinagdaanan 'yun, apat kaming babae," she explained.
