MANILA, Philippines – Singer-balladeer Erik Santos won’t stray too far from his strength as a singer – performing power ballads – but the “Star in a Million” champ said he’s ready to make adjustments in his image to keep things fresh.

While he intends to continue his balladeer streak as an artist, Santos said he has started experimenting with his image by shedding the crisp long sleeves and dapper suits identified with his balladeer persona.
“Naniniwala ako na kung ano strength mo bilang singer, huwag kang lumayo,” Santos said, speaking to Push.com.ph.
Santos said, however, that his team of musicians have made strides in putting a twist to popular music, noting this is also a way towards “reinvention.”
So it’s part of reinvention.”
Santos’ plans of reinventing himself is in anticipation of his tenth year in the music industry. He hopes to come out with a new album celebrating a music-filled decade since emerging champion in ABS-CBN’s “Star in a Million.”
