MANILA - Vice Ganda channeled "The Queen of Pop" as he opened his 42nd birthday celebration with a 20-minute medley of songs by global superstar Madonna on "It's Showtime" Saturday.

No stranger to big-stage performances, the comedian ascended from below the stage, dramatically opening the medley with the Madonna hit "Like A Prayer" in an outfit inspired by the Queen of Pop's 2018 MET Gala look.

Vice Ganda then performed "Holiday," a segue to the rest of the performance spiced up by appearances from top-caliber guests.

Divas Zsa Zsa Padilla and Kuh Ledesma turned up for a performance of "Express Yourself," while their fellow stage veterans Jaya and Pops Fernandez performed "Rain."

A showstopping performance of Madonna's collaboration with Justin Timberlake "4 Minutes" followed with heartthrob James Reid taking the reins as Vice's duet partner.

Pop star princess Sarah Geronimo then took the stage with Vice Ganda for a rendition of "Me Against The Music," one of Madonna's iconic collaborations featuring Britney Spears.

Asia's Songbird Regine Velasquez also joined the comedian for the final duet number singing "Lucky Star" in a chilling and riveting performance.

The two had shared the stage in February in a three-night Valentine's concert series.

Vice Ganda, whose actual birthday is on March 31, was also greeted by different personalities including President Rodrigo Duterte and Vice President Leni Robredo.
