MANILA — Two tandems that were formed and became popular inside the “Pinoy Big Brother” house completed the second batch of “Big 4” finalists of the reality show’s ongoing season.

The Wednesday, March 28 episode of the ABS-CBN series trimmed the final six housemates to four. With the back-to-back eviction of Shawntel Cruz and Thea Rizaldo, the “Big 4” slots were occupied by Andre Brouillette, Lou Yanong, Fumiya Sankai, and Yamyam Gucong.

Interestingly, the four had courted a fanbase dubbed Team LAYF after their initials. The supporters even trooped to the live eviction night, which was held outside the famous yellow house.

That their idols did not go back out to the “real world” — meaning, they were safe from eviction — was cause for celebration that loud saw cheers and paraphernalia imprinted with “LAYF” swaying in the crowd.

There were also fans specifically of “LouDre,” a portmanteau of half of the Big 4 whose love story blossomed inside “PBB”; and “FumiYam,” the unlikely comedy duo of a Japanese vlogger and a self-described “probinsyano.”

This batch of adult Big 4 is the second after the previous teen edition, which produced Jelay Pilones, Kaori Oinuma, Karina Bautista, and Lie Reposposa.

Two more batches (teens and adults) will produce their respective Big 4. The batch winners will form a final set of Big 4, who will then return inside the house for one last round of public voting.
