MANILA -- Lee Min Ho, known to Filipinos as the star of the shows “Boys Over Flowers” and “Legend of the Blue Sea,” is set to capture the hearts of viewers as a monarch in a new series.
Along with Kim Go-eun, Woo Do-hwan, Kim Kyung-nam and Jung Eun-chae, Lee will headline the upcoming Netflix series “The King: Eternal Monarch,” a romantic fantasy drama that revolves around relationships of people from two parallel universes.
King Lee Gon seeks to seal the gateway between dimensions, while Jung Tae-eul, a police inspector, simply wants to protect other’s lives and their loves.
"The King: Eternal Monarch" will be available on Netflix in April.
It is written by Kim Eun-suk ("Guardian: The Lonely and Great God," "Mr. Sunshine," "Descendants of the Sun"), and directed by Baek Sang-hoon ("Secret," "Who Are You: School 2015" and "Descendants of the Sun") and Jeong Jee-hyun ("Search: WWW").
