Miles Ocampo and Rocco Nacino star in 'Write About Love'. TBA Studios

MANILA — The acclaimed film "Write About Love," about screenwriters who fall in love in the process of collaborating, was recognized at the 2020 Osaka Asian Film Festival (OAFF).

The Crisanto Aquino film was the recipient of the ABC TV Award, its producer TBA Studios announced on Monday.

"Write About Love" was hailed as a "wonderful comedy that is bright and energetic to watch even though it incorporates serious themes," according to the official OAFF announcement of winners.

"The technical aspects of the film are elaborate as reflected in the aspect ratio. Scenes taking place in the real world are shot in 4:3, the movie scenes are 16:9, and eventually the two worlds are mixed," it added.

OAFF was referring to the intercut storytelling screenwriters (Miles Ocampo and Rocco Nacino) and the characters they're creating (Yeng Constantino and Joem Bascon).

An entry to the 2019 Metro Manila Film Festival, "Write About Love" clinched the trophies for screenplay, supporting actor (Bascon), and actress (Constantino), musical score, theme song, as well as the special jury prize.
