MANILA — For Nadine Lustre, the revelation of her sharing a home with James Reid should no longer be surprising, at least to their long-time fans.

Lustre, 25, was asked for her reaction to Reid’s candid admission about them living together, on the sidelines of the Monday night premiere of the actress’ romance-fantasy film “Ulan.”

“Parang hindi naman na bagong isyu ‘yan,” she told reporters in a media huddle with co-star Marco Gumabao.

“Ewan ko ba kay James. No, but really, I didn’t want to say anything before kasi hindi naman importante na malaman ng ibang tao. But I guess it’s out. Pero parang hindi naman surprising, since medyo obvious din naman siya,” she added.

Lustre first went on record about her and Reid’s living arrangement in 2017. At the time, speculation swirled following supposed sightings of the two appearing to go home together frequently.

But instead of confirming it outright, Lustre shrugged off the issue, and opted to give an open-ended answer which generated the meme, “C’mon, guys, it’s 2017!”

Over the years since, the two had been evasive of giving a direct answer to the same question. Reid’s response in his “Gandang Gabi Vice” interview aired last Sunday was the first confirmation of their setup.
