MANILA – Kim Chiu met with ABS-CBN executives on Wednesday hours after the van she was riding in was shot at by still unidentified gunmen onboard a motorcycle along Katipunan Avenue in Quezon City.
As seen in these photos, Chiu looks emotional while in a huddle with Integrated News and Current Affairs head Ging Reyes, Star Magic head Johnny Manahan, chairman Mark Lopez, COO of Broadcast Cory Vidanes, and president and CEO Carlo Katigbak.
While still traumatized, the actress managed to narrate what happened this morning when she was en route to the taping of her series “Love Thy Woman.”
In an earlier Instagram post, Chiu said she had no idea on the possible motive behind the attack.
"I was so scared, I don't know what to feel right now. Wala naman akong kaaway or ka atraso," she said.
One bullet pierced the van but did not hit Chiu since she was lying down, she said.
"Kung sino man ang gumawa nito Diyos na ang bahala sa inyo dalawa. Sana tininignan niyo muna ang plate number bago niyo paulanan ng bala 'yung kotse ko but at the end of the day inisip ko nalang walang nasaktan sa amin. God protected us," she said.
The gunmen fled towards Commonwealth Avenue, according to Chiu's driver.
