Bumuwelta si James Reid sa mga basher sa social media na tutol sa pagkakapili sa kaniya bilang hurado sa "Search for the Idol Philippines."

"They got me for a reason because I made it in my own area, my own field in showbiz industry. They see talent in me," sabi ni Reid, na nagpapatakbo rin ng sariling music label na Careless Music Manila.

Dinepensahan din si Reid ni "Search for the Idol Philippines" host Billy Crawford.

"Full support ako sa lahat ng mga judges," ani Crawford.

"People need to stop, take a look at themselves in the mirror and really ask a question — perfect ba tayo?" dagdag ni Crawford.

Magkakasama sina Reid, Crawford, at Sam Concepcion para sa isang nalalapit na concert.

Sa launch naman ng kaniyang ika-30 anniversary concert, ipinagtanggol din ni Jaya si Moira Dela Torre, na kasamahan niya sa Cornerstone Entertainment Agency.

Umani rin ng pambabatikos ang pagkakapili kay Dela Torre bilang hurado ng nalalapit na talent show.

"She's like the biggest artist now. How can you say she's not credible as a judge?" ani Jaya.

Makakasama nina Reid at Dela Torre bilang mga hurado sina Regine Velasquez at Vice Ganda.
