Model and entrepreneur Slater Young, the 2012 winner of ABS-CBN's "Pinoy Big Brother," is engaged to be married to his girlfriend, blogger and author Kryz Uy, the couple announced Wednesday.

On Instagram, Young and Uy shared photos of them together in wintry Japan, including some images where Uy is sporting what appears to be a stone-encrusted engagement ring.

"Once in a while, right in the middle of life, love gives us a fairytale. I love you, Slater," Uy said in the caption of one of the photos. Young, meanwhile, told his fiancée: "Here's to forever with you." (Browse through the photos in the slideshow below.)

After his "PBB" stint, Young appeared on a number of Kapamilya drama series, including "E-Boy" and "Ina, Kapatid, Anak." He, however, went on to pursue a business in line with his engineering background.

He was for a time romantically linked with former Kapamilya singer and now-Broadway actress Rachelle Ann Go, who got engaged just last September.
