On Monday, record label Star Music finally released the complete, studio version of the song which incorporates childhood games and rhymes in its lyrics and melody, tragically on the topic of being abandoned by a loved one.

The official YouTube upload of "Tagu-Taguan" came two weeks after dela Torre performed its full version at her two-night, sold-out concert at Kia Theatre, where the first copies of her new album, "Malaya," were also sold.
