MANILA -- Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil left Manila on Wednesday to attend the international screenings of their blockbuster movie “Alone/Together” in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Citing initial reports, ABS-CBN News’ MJ Felipe said the film already reached the P200 million mark midway through this week. Felipe said the movie’s official box office numbers will be released by producer Black Sheep soon.

The movie’s last reported official gross was more than P123 million in four days. It debuted strong last Wednesday with over P21 million ticket sales.

The Antoinette Jadaone film follows the love story of Christine (Soberano) and Raf (Gil), ex-college sweethearts who meet again during a turning point in their respective lives.

The trailer shows the couple plotting their shared dreams, only to end up reaching for them separately after Christine ends their relationship. In one scene, Raf appears to be holding a ring box as he pleads to Christine not to leave.

Markedly more mature in appearance, the two come face to face again, with Raf asking Christine a series of “what-if” questions and surmising how much differently their lives would have unfolded given those scenarios.

The questions put them on the road to rekindling their romance, but their circumstances prohibit it; they’re both involved with someone else.

Shot partly within the campus of the University of the Philippines in Diliman and in New York, “Alone/Together” marks Soberano and Gil’s fourth big-screen project together.
