MANILA -- For the first time ever, Angel Locsin and Marian Rivera have agreed to share the cover of a fashion magazine.

On Thursday, Mega Magazine released a photo of the first joint magazine cover of the two actresses to mark its 25th anniversary.

"Each with a trail of hard-earned success blazing behind them, Angel Locsin and Marian Rivera propel themselves forward and take life by the horns. Daring to always live out the truest of true, these iconic beauties of their time take us on the next steps of their lives," the magazine said.

The cover was shot by photographer Mark Nicdao, with art direction by Jann Pascua. Lala Flores did Locsin's makeup, while Nante Alingasa did her hair. Rivera's makeup, meanwhile, was done by Juan Sarte with Brent Sales doing her hair.

Both actress have played the Filipino superhero Darna on television -- Locsin in 2005, and Rivera in 2009.

Locsin, meanwhile, took to social media to express her happiness about the magazine cover.

"There's always a first time! Happy to be with Yan to celebrate MEGA's 25th anniversary!" Locsin wrote.
