MANILA — Cardo (Coco Martin) has found new allies with the addition of three officers to Task Force Agila, portrayed by Shaina Magdayao, Barbie Imperial, and Isabelle de Leon in “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.”

The trio joined the primetime stalwart early this week, with their characters being introduced as new recruits of General dela Cruz (Rey Malonzo).

Major Opeña (Magdayao) will help Cardo lead the group, while Lt. Villaluna (Imperial) and Lt. Lazcano (de Leon) are tasked to assist in a confidential mission to bring down a new threat.

Opeña takes the place of Major Romero (Denise Laurel), who was killed by Cardo’s former nemesis, the late Bungo (Baron Geisler).

Magdayao, Imperial, and de Leon are the latest stars to bring fresh sheen to the long-running “Ang Probinsyano,” which is gearing up for an international storyline on its fourth year on air.

Magdayao’s casting in the ABS-CBN series, which is also co-directed by Martin, marks their teleserye reunion seven years after the 2013 fantaserye “Juan dela Cruz.”
