MANILA - Young actress Andrea Brillantes said goodbye to her character in "Pangako Sa 'Yo" on Friday as the hit series airs its final episode.

Brillantes plays the role of Lia, the daughter of Eduardo (Ian Veneracion) and Claudia Buenavista (Angelica Panganiban).

In an Instagram post, Brillantes said she is thankful for the opportunity to portray Lia in the "Pangako Sa 'Yo" remake, noting that it helped prove herself as an actress.

"Thank you, Lia, dahil sa'yo ang daming taong naniwala sa akin sa pag-acting. Nagpapasalamat ako sa ABS-CBN at ako po ang napili nilang Lia. I love you, Lia B. I will miss you. I will miss 'Pangako Sa 'Yo,'" she said.

Recalling her "Pangako Sa 'Yo" journey as Lia, she said: "Mami-miss kita, Lia. Isa ka na sa mga paborito kong role na ginampanan ko. Hinding-hindi ko makakalimutan ang ating journey. Mula nang nagsimula kitang makilalang mabait, masunurin, madasalin at mapagmahal na anak hanggang sa pagsungit mo at pagkagalit mo sa mundo nang mawala lahat ng sa iyo."

"Minahal na kitang tuluyan. Naramdaman ko lahat ng pain sa puso mo. Sabay nating hinarap 'yun nang may tapang," she added.

Prior to "Pangako Sa 'Yo", Brillantes played the titular role in the now-defunct soap "Annaliza".

In the original "Pangako Sa 'Yo" aired in 2000, the role of Lia was given to Jodi Sta. Maria, who now portrays Amor Powers in the remake.
