MANILA - Dyesebel now has pink tail.

In a trailer released Tuesday for ABS-CBN's adaptation of the Mars Ravelo comicbook, the iconic mermaid played by Anne Curtis is seen with a pink tail, and not an orange one shown in the first preview of the "fantaserye."

ABS-CBN's "Dyesebel" was unveiled to advertisers in late January during the network's first-quarter trade event. The trailer shown at the time also used the orange tail in the title animation.

The latest preview released on Tuesday also features previous actresses who played Dyesebel, among them Vilma Santos (1973) and Alma Moreno (1978), whose tails in the role were a shade of silver and green, respectively.

Marian Rivera, who last portrayed the mermaid in a GMA-7 series in 2008, had an orange tail, as did Alice Dixson in 1990 and Charlene Gonzales in 1996.

Joining Curtis in the cast of "Dyesebel" are Ai Ai delas Alas, Dawn Zulueta, Eula Valdez, Andi Eigenmann, Gerald Anderson, Sam Milby, Gabby Concepcion, Neil Coleta, Young JV, David Chua, Bangs Garcia, and Ogie Diaz.

Directed by Don Cuaresma and Francis Pasion, the fantaserye will join ABS-CBN's "Primetime Bida" line-up in March.
