MANILA — “Kadenang Ginto” shone bright on its final day with a viewership that firmly ranked it as the No. 1 program in its time slot on February 8.
The ABS-CBN drama’s conclusion registered a nationwide rating of 26.2%, ahead of its competing show aired on GMA-7, “Prima Donnas,” which got 17.2%, according to Kantar Media.
The finale of “Kadenang Ginto” saw the warring Mondragon women finally finding peace, after a years-long feud that reversed fortunes and claimed lives.
The tug-of-war within the Mondragon family has been the central story of “Kadenang Ginto” since its October 2018 premiere.

For most of its run, “Kadenang Ginto” was the No. 1 program in its time slot, with memorable scenes and dramatic twists spawning online memes, and more recently, an Indonesian TV remake.
