Oh, what one would give to be a fly on the wall during the talk Karina Bautista had with her boyfriend, now ex, considering that everyone who watched "PBB" saw how she fell in love with another boy.

Yes, they were still together when she was cozying up to her fellow housemate Aljon Mendoza, and it spawned perhaps one of the most dramatic controversies of the show's teen edition this year.

But according to Bautista, her talk with her former boyfriend was a lot more civil than people would expect and that it revolved around their decision to call things off.

She told "Tonight with Boy Abunda" that it was a "mutual" break up, and that she explained to him that she needed time to think.

She said that her ex was more understanding than angry at her, and admitted that she had apologized to him.

She also revealed that she had already talked to his family and that "they're fine" with how things panned out.

It was an emotional interview for Bautista, who spoke up about the difficulty she had in saying sorry to fans of the show for the way she behaved.

She maintained that she thought about her boyfriend while inside the "PBB" house, and argued that she knew her feelings for Mendoza was wrong and that's why she decided against entering a new relationship.

Referring to the criticisms that affected her the most, she said: "Iyong hindi ko daw inisip iyong boyfriend ko, which is wrong. Kasi inisip ko po kaya nung nasa loob ako, sinabi ko na, 'Huwag na.' I was conscious and I said I was wrong."

She also said that it would be "disrespectful" and "unfair" to her ex-boyfriend, and that she would be acting "selfish" if she had entertained Mendoza.

And speaking of Mendoza, Bautista said that she is currently just "friends" with him. "It's respect for myself na rin. I don't really want to rush into things pa, lalo na ngayon na medyo magulo pa."
